Holiday Nannies is a childcare provision introduction agency, situated at 148 Retief Street in Paarl 7646.
Nannies and Clients
For the purposes of these Terms and Conditions, persons registered with Holiday Nannies and offered childcare bookings through Holiday Nannies are referred to as ‘Nannies’ and persons who contract with Holiday Nannies for the purpose of being introduced to Nannies through Holiday Nannies are referred to as ‘Clients’.
Holiday Nannies acts as an introduction and booking agency providing experienced childcare professionals with references. Holiday Nannies does not employ the Nannies booked by Clients. Holiday Nannies provides Nannies introduction services.
Holiday Nannies undertake to ensure that all Nannies/Sitters on the register have been carefully selected. The Client accepts that no amount of reference checking can provide a guarantee of future performance by individual Nannies and Holiday Nannies cannot be held accountable for negligence on the part of a Nanny who has provided Holiday Nannies with satisfactory references except where reasonable care has not been taken in the reference checking process or where Holiday Nannies has failed to take note of other information received concerning the Nanny past performance.
Holiday Nannies selection procedure includes the following:
- Written application by the Nanny
- Identity checks
- Sight of documents & records supporting the applicant’s identity
- Personal interview
- Minimum of two recent employment references
- 6 hours’ notice for the Winelands (Franschhoek, Stellenbosch, Paarl).
- 24 hours’ notice for Cape Town.
The following terms and conditions apply. or proof thereof, must be received no less than 10 days prior to the booking date or your booking will not be guaranteed.
Holiday Nannies work on the following children ratios:
- 2 per nanny for children under 4 years
- 3 per nanny for children between 4—8
- 4 per nanny for children older than 8
- Or 1 nanny per private family
The Client is responsible for ensuring the Nanny/Sitter clearly understands any special needs or routine of the Client’s children. The Client undertakes to provide the Nanny with refreshments and a light meal if the Nanny is booked for 10 hours and more.
If during a booking, any accidental damage occurs to the Client’s property or possessions, this will need to be covered by the Client’s own insurance policy.
If a Nanny/Sitter is booked and for reasons beyond the agency’s control the Nanny cancels at short notice or fails to arrive at the booking time Holiday Nannies will try it’s best to replace the nanny for the Client. In the unforeseen event that the latter is not possible, a full refund will be given.
If, for any reason, the Client is not happy with their allocated Nanny, the Client must inform Holiday Nannies within the first 4 hours of the booking. One replacement Nanny will be offered, free of charge. If another Nanny is requested, this falls under a new booking and immediate payment is required. No refund will be given if the Client declines the replacement Nanny. If the client fails to notify us within the given time-frame the client will not be eligible for a refund or a replacement Nanny.
Bookings may be amended no less than 4 days prior to the booking date.
Holiday Nannies reserves the right to terminate any booking if:
- The Nanny is treated in a rude manor or feels threatened/unsafe in any way.
- The Nanny turns up at a booking and the number of children exceed that of the booking confirmation, in which case the Nanny will terminate the booking immediately and no refund will be given.
Refunds, 1 week
A full refund will be given if the booking is cancelled one week prior to the booking date, but No refund will be given if the booking is cancelled less than one week prior to the booking date.
